Border Filmmaker Showcase - Carlos Tejeda
What are the best parts of living on the border and being involved in Filmmaking?
The best part of being in the border and being involved in filmmaking is that you have many more options to choose from. From a storyteller perspective you have constant interaction with different cultures which enriches characters.
What are some of the challenges that you face in Filmmaking?
As many young independent filmmakers the challenge is to be able to fund your films and get people to watch your products. At the end of the day it all comes to money sadly.
What are some of the projects you are most proud of working on, on a project level.
I have been working on many feature films lately, but I am putting a lot of heart and effort on an animated music video for the band Soul Parade right now. They gave me all the creative control which is something that made me go full on into it. I might be very harsh on myself.
What examples of your work are you most satisfied with? Where do you see yourself, and your craft, in five years?
I see myself creating and having creative control on whatever thing I am working at the moment I am not satisfied with non of my past work, as soon as I finish a project I just hate it and see all its flaws.
Where can people find your work?
My Youtube Channel, The Image Storyteller.
